Meet the founder

Adam Myers

With a legacy rooted in fine craftsmanship, the founder of Dorset Jewellers has dedicated 28 years to the art of gemology and precious metals. Following in the footsteps of his mother, a fellow jeweller, his career began in the heart of the UK’s jewellery trade — London’s world-renowned Hatton Garden. That background laid the foundation for a career built on precision and the careful handling of high-value pieces.

A dual-qualified goldsmith and silversmith, he is also GIA trained, so every valuation is backed by recognised gemological standards. Since moving his expertise from London to Dorset, his commitment to the trade has been matched by a dedication to the local area. Featured in the Daily Echo for his contributions to the community, he has earned a reputation as one of the region’s most trusted figures.

What sets him apart is a private network of collectors and buyers cultivated over nearly three decades. That network helps secure a strong market value for unwanted jewellery, consistently outperforming traditional high-street offers.

For him, the business is more than transactions. He thrives on the personal nature of home visits, bringing Hatton Garden expertise to your door so you receive a fair return in a setting that is both secure and comfortable.

Transparency and fairness

Dorset’s most trusted gold buyer

Dorset Jewellers was founded on a simple belief: that every person deserves honesty, respect, and the very best price for treasured possessions. From the earliest days, the aim was to challenge an industry often clouded by opacity, and to build a service rooted in trust and genuine expertise.

Over the years, thousands of clients across the county have placed their confidence here — from families parting with inherited heirlooms to collectors refining their portfolios. Gemologists and horologists continue their professional development so every valuation reflects current market conditions and the true worth of the item.
